:articulated_lorry: Fixed the Missing Road – Now Every Transport Reaches Correctly!

At our company in Bhosari MIDC (Block F2, near Talbros Automotive Components Ltd), almost every transport driver faced the same issue —

Google Maps always showed a longer and confusing route to our factory.

Whenever new transport drivers tried to reach us, they ended up taking a wrong turn, wasting time, and calling us for directions. :telephone_receiver:

After observing this for a few days, I realized the actual reason :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:right_arrow: The front access road connecting to Telco Welfare Society Road was missing on Google Maps!

So, on 18 October, I used the “Add missing road” feature and added that short local road.

:white_check_mark: Now Maps shows the correct, direct route to our factory.

:white_check_mark: No more confusion for transporters or visitors!

:white_check_mark: Around 5–6 minutes saved for every trip.

It’s a small edit, but it makes a big difference for everyone visiting this industrial area.

Sometimes Google Maps shows a missing road even though the road exists properly on the ground.

So before adding a road, it’s always good to physically verify the route — it keeps the map accurate and reliable for everyone. :white_check_mark:

A few of my early efforts at drawing roads were prompted by similar situations. I remember a supermarket where Maps navigation was through a village and via a closed gate at the back, rather than through the parking lot at the front.

Unfortunately, at that time mapping was not allowed for my country, so I had to go through the Google Maps help forum to get assistance from one of the PEs there. In another instance I had to use their help to have a road removed, because it was just an overgrown path that was not drivable through the bush.

I worked in this area 15 years ago in Plazma Solution @Bansodesomnath, but Google Maps did not exist, nor did anyone know about it :smiley:
