A Peaceful Experience — Shree Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, Aalandi (Pune)
Whenever New guests visit from my hometown, I take them to the sacred places around Pune — Alandi, Dehu, Gatha Mandir, and Bhandara Dongar.
Among these, the Shree Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan Math at Alandi is a special and peaceful place to visit.
Located on a gentle hill, the temple’s steps lead upward through a serene path, giving every devotee a deep sense of peace and devotion.
The marble steps, green surroundings, and the main Math standing gracefully above — all together create a very calming and divine atmosphere.
During summer, mats are spread on the steps so devotees’ feet don’t get hot,
which shows how thoughtful and caring the temple management is.
There is also a free footwear stand available for all visitors —
a small yet very convenient facility for devotees.
Bhakt Niwas:
The temple has a total of four Bhakt Niwas offering around 105 rooms with all basic amenities for devotees.
Clean rooms and well-managed facilities make it easy for visitors to stay peacefully during their pilgrimage.
About the Temple Structure:
Beyond the Bhakt Niwas area, uphill stands the grand marble temple.
The structure has a main prayer hall (Sabha Mandap) at the lower level and the idol of Shree Gajanan Maharaj at the upper level.
Inside the prayer hall, devotees can have darshan of Maharaj’s Paduka and portrait, and many perform Nam Smaran (chanting) and Parayan (reading of spiritual texts) there.

Devotee-friendly arrangements (summer mats, free footwear stand)
