This reminds me the shloka in Sanskrit:
महाजनस्य संसर्गः, कस्य नोन्नतिकारकः।
पद्मपत्रस्थितं तोयम्, धत्ते मुक्ताफलश्रियम् ॥
(Company of good people is always beneficial. It is like a drop of water on lotus leaf which appears like a pearl.)
