Donigal Railway Station is a small, old station located on the Sakaleshpura – Subrahmanya Green Route in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. With its simple, vintage-style railway architecture, the station still carries the charm of the past.
Though trains pass through this stretch every day, hardly anyone gets down here, and you’ll often find the station almost deserted. Surrounded by dense greenery and mist, Donigal feels like a hidden spot frozen in time.
The station lies on the famous Green Route, known for its 58 tunnels, 109 bridges, and numerous waterfalls. While Donigal itself sees very little activity, it serves as a marker of the historical importance of this engineering marvel through the Ghats.
