Every morning, when we wake up from bed, firstly we are looking for a cup of tea or coffee and finding a place where we can feel the fresh air of nature. This air gives us a super power, so that we can easily spend our whole day with pleasure. But the days that go on like this become monotonous for a while and the mind is looking for a new place at this point. Again, traveling from one place to another place needs time, money and energy. Which becomes a big issue later. For this scenario, the small distance travel is quite a good place for traveling. And, “201 Gombuj Masjid” can be consider as one of them.
The 201 Dome Mosque is located in Dakshin Pathalia village of Nagda Shimla union in Gopalpur upazila of Tangail district in Bangladesh. This mosque is not an archaeological place rather than we can consider it a historical place. The mosque is very well known for its dome number and tower height. The mosque has the highest number of domes in the world and the second tallest minaret. This mosque is designed with 201 domes and 9 minarets. The mosque is being constructed under the supervised of freedom fighter Rafiqul Islam Welfare Trust.
The mosque is open to the public all day. However, for all the men and women were reminded to observe the etiquette of the mosque before entering the mosque. In other words, everyone can enter here by keeping the etiquette of the mosque. The ablution room is located outside of the mosque where you can wash your hand and foot.
Besides, outside of the mosque, there have flown a river and there you can find boat riding service. I’m not taking this riding service, so that I can provide more information about it. At the same time, if we want some food or drinks, you can find it opposite to the mosque main gate. And, for transportation, here you can find auto three wheeler car (as CNG, VAN and Rickshaw). You can use this transportation to go to the bus stand or other local areas.
Mashallah the mosque is indeed very beautiful and the domes are mesmerizing @mrinmoiHossain Thanks for the interesting information related to this iconic mosque. Any idea about how many worshippers this mosque can accommodate? Is the mosque open during the covid19 pandemic…
Yeah, it’s a very nice place and it’ll be more attractive after completing the full interior design hopefully. Thank you also @Nuhuu for sharing our areas information with us.
I’ve gone to the top of the tower when I took the shots from above. At now you can’t visit all the minarets because some the minaret stairs are under construction.
Thank you for the details @mrinmoiHossain , amazing location!
