Thank you to all who joined the IPL Lists challenge for India!

You’ve made it possible for fans to travel like locals and experience the magic of the IPL beyond just the stadium walls. You all really stepped up as the ultimate “digital hosts” for this year’s IPL season.

We were blown away by the creativity, attention to detail, and sheer usefulness of the lists you created. You went above and beyond by organizing your recommendations and expertise into specialized categories — focusing on either “Dining & Vibe” or “Fan Experience & Logistics” — and providing expert, helpful notes for each location to guide visiting fans.

To identify the most helpful lists for this challenge, we followed a thorough selection process. After reviewing all entries against our core criteria (ensuring lists were set to public, included at least five locations, and featured high-quality notes). From there, the Google Maps Product and Engineering teams specifically shortlisted the entries that offered the most value to fans. This collaborative review ensured that the most helpful and authentic contributions were selected to represent the spirit of the IPL.

While we were not able to feature every submission, so many of your lists were highly valuable and we want to thank everyone who participated! It’s especially gratifying to see ourselves among the featured winning entries, alongside such exceptional Local Guides whose deep local expertise genuinely enhances the Google Maps experience. Being recognized in the company of such contributors makes this even more meaningful.
