Chic Elegant Bags from Recycle Coffee Sachet

At one fine evening, I met @Sandra1961 from Bali Local Guides. She was visiting Jakarta for Reunion with her friends. I know she has skills to recycle some plastic become sometihing else.

I arrived at 5 o clock, and she began to teach me. Of course she gave me tips how t2o wash those coffee packages.
Sandra, is respectable and loving Local Guides, who active in recycle plastic campaign.

As I learnt how to woven each other, it took me about 3 hours to finish my first craft.

Sandra said, I was fast learner. Ah, she just give me appraisal, the truth was, I was so dizzy to learn in short time. But my friends from Jakarta Local Guides gave me support.

After I got home, I quickly sorted my trash.

STEPS for reused the Coffee Packages

  1. Wash the coffee packages

  2. Dry the coffee packages

  3. Cut in half

  4. And fold the packages

  5. Woven the folded packages

I finished my first bag, after 2 weeks, and showed it to my friends Jakarta Local Guides, they were very pleased, some of them were willing to learn too.

I was happy, cause my little actions give inspiration to others, then Sandra efforts to save the world from plastic was worthed!

Wow . @Ddimitra you’re the most dedicated person whom ever learned from me. I’m honoured to be the person who shared my knowledge with you. Hopefully we can spread the idea to a lot more people. How about doing the VMU as discussed previously?

Look forward to working together with you again soon, even virtually.

With love and admiration from the Island of God. Cheers,

Sandra

I really loved this bag since the time you shared the pictures @Ddimitra

At first I didn’t even realise it was made of coffee wrappers.

It’s a brilliant idea to recycle and show our creative side

Congratulations @Ddimitra , @Sandra1961

I am the lucky owner of an amazing carpet made with the same technique by @Aikoo . I received the carpet during Connect Live 2019 from the hands of @Nyainurjanah .

I don’t have words to explain the emotion of the moment, but @KarenVChin posted several photos on her recap: New City, New Site: Local Guides Clean the World Connect Live 2019 Meetup

Hi @ErmesT

Thank you for stop by at my post!

Yupe this is the same.concept as the carpet that made by @Aikoo

But carpet took longer time than bag. You can change the form using existinh woven. It easy.no glue and no yarn.
