Whenever I travel from Bangalore to Mysuru, the Channapatna toy shops along the highway always catch my attention. The bright colours, wooden textures, and handcrafted toys are impossible to ignore, and I often stop to buy a few.

Buying these toys directly from the sellers feels special, not only because they are GI-tagged Channapatna Toys, but also because it supports the local artisans and small businesses who keep this traditional craft alive. Each toy reflects the skill, patience, and heritage of Karnataka’s Toy Town.
