Today I would love to show you an amazing place : Cricova is a Moldavian winery located in the city of the same name, 15 km (9.3 miles) north of Chisinau.
The wine cellars of Cricova are the second largest among the wineries of Moldova, after Milestii Mich (the largest in the world). The cellar extends 120 kilometers (75 miles) of labyrinth roads, compared to 200 km to Milestii Mich (120 miles).
The tunnels formed under Cricova in the 15th century, as a result of limestone mining, for the construction of Chisinau.
The depth of the cellar is up to 100 meters (330 feet) under the ground and stores 1.25 million bottles of rare wines. The oldest wine dates back to 1902. The temperature is maintained at 12 ° C (54 ° F) all year round (which is ideal for wine).

Thank you for adding Cricova to our collection of Winery @KristinaIBRA
I love the subject, wine is one of my target, when traveling and when at home.
On the community we started on 2017 to organize wine meet-ups, and we are having every years Local Guides coming even from other countries, for two days of fun.

Ciao @ErmesT ,
Thank you so much for tagging me and giving me the opportunity to discover the amazing post by @KristinaIBRA showing this giant and suggestive Crivova winery . It is so interesting to admire such tiny cellars preserving this prized wine.
@ErmesT ,
What a nice photos you share with us, thank you so much. They let me imagine the pleasant silence walking along these beautiful cellars and seeing these barrels that let mature slowly the prestigious wine.
I know you had a beautiful time all together visiting Villa Sandi and I hope sipping a tasty glass of wine …(maybe more than one ?). Hope you may repeat the event
