This post is in response to the World Samosa Day Celebrations by @Shalzhere, and by @Rahul001here.
Samosa is an integral part of evening snacks, often paired with Chai tea.
There are numerous samosa and chat shops around my residence in Pune.
I often stop by one during my evening walk and try out various samosas regularly.
In an era when fast food is expensive, They offer nice snacks at affordable prices. The service was prompt and quick. The shop was clean and hygienic. Free roadside parking was available. The nearest metro station is Baner Gaon.
In city/state, huge expansion of samosa variety has been taking place like having shawrma as a fillings of samosa. To a extent where I seen one sweet filled samosa too. I don’t know whether they have different name but shop owners says it’s new samosa.
By the way, your store front is featured as first photo of the restaurant.
Yes, fusion food is on the rise @Rahul001, and sadly, they are mixing traditional dishes like samosas with meat and sweet, which I do not welcome at all
Comparing vadapav and samosa both are really mouth watering snacks for me. In Pune I used to have it while in bus journey to my plant site. Awesome weather and samosa with chutney. A great combination in rainy day’s. @TusharSuradkar@Shalz@Rahul001 happy samosa day.
At here in odisha we called as singada:fortune_cookie:
Nice comparison @Rajatsah007
Vada Pav is a more Maharashtrian delicacy to be enjoyed in the rainy season with chai.
Compared to Samosa, it is a bit easier to prepare and deliver.
I have heard about Singada but never tasted.
