Celebrating Bihar Diwas – A Land of Heritage, Culture, and Progress! 🌿🏛️

Today, on March 22, we celebrate Bihar Diwas, marking the foundation of Bihar as a separate state in 1912. This day is a tribute to the rich history, culture, and contributions of Bihar to India and the world.

:classical_building: A Land of Heritage: Bihar is home to ancient sites like Nalanda University, Vikramshila, Bodh Gaya, and Vaishali, playing a significant role in shaping history.

:sheaf_of_rice: A Land of Agriculture & Growth: Known for its fertile lands along the Ganga, Bihar is a major producer of crops like rice, wheat, maize, and litchi.

Litti Chokha – The heart and soul of Bihari cuisine, a rustic delicacy that perfectly blends tradition, taste, and nostalgia. :amphora::fire:

:scroll: A Land of Wisdom: Bihar has given birth to scholars, leaders, and spiritual figures, including Gautam Buddha, Mahavira, Chanakya, Aryabhata, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad.

:rocket: A Land of Change: With rapid development in education, infrastructure, and digitalization, Bihar continues to move forward.

As a Local Guide, I take pride in sharing the beauty of Bihar through Google Maps – from historic sites to street food gems, helping travelers discover this incredible state.

:blue_heart: Wishing everyone a Happy Bihar Diwas! Let’s celebrate the spirit of Bihar and its glorious journey.

@Trishatishu you are right. And @Gvipin ji, Bihar is the world’s largest producer of makhana (also known as fox nuts or lotus seeds), accounting for a significant portion of global production. Recently the Central Government has announced Makhana Board, whose HQ will be in Bihar itself. And how can we forget Chhath Puja, it is the pride of Bihar. World Largest Free WiFi Zone - The free Wi-Fi zone stretched nearly 20 km between the National Institute of Technology (NIT) at the eastern end of the Ashok Rajpath and Danapur at the western end of the state capital, Patna. At the rest, thank you for sharing your valuable information on Bihar. :+1:

Most people know everything that they should about Bihar being one of the most popular and famous states in India.

I have tasted Litti-Chokha in Delhi, though I would like to taste the authentic dish in Bihar itself someday :face_savoring_food:
