Happy World Kindness Day! But what does it mean to be kind? Two Google Moderators share their thoughts and invite you to do the same.
@TsekoV : We interact and share time with other people daily. Being mindful of others has always been important, but it is even more crucial now. The global pandemic has changed the way we communicate. Talking with others online is different than doing it in person, so we need to consider our words and the messages we send.
There are still many ways to show kindness in this situation. Openly appreciating someone’s efforts, brightening their day by sharing a funny photo, or sending them an uplifting message to show your support are just some of them. I’m proud to be a part of a community that celebrates friendships and expresses gratitude because there is kindness in staying connected and being thankful for others.
@Bobiisha : For me, being kind is the smallest step you could take to make the world a better place. It means spreading happiness and positive energy and showing understanding. Kindness is all about giving, and I’ve noticed that the more I give, the more positive feelings and experiences I receive.
You can easily include simple acts of kindness in your routine. Dedicating some time to leave a genuine review or a photo of a local business on Maps can help both the visitors and the business. Even wearing a mask and keeping a physical distance to protect others is kindness!
For last year’s World Kindness Day, we encouraged you to tag someone from the community who has been kind to you. This year, let’s make a chain of kindness in the comments. Tag the person who commented before you and say something nice about them.
I’ll start! @TsekoV , I love the content you share on Connect. I can feel your passion for traveling, and I learn a lot from your posts. You also capture the places you discover beautifully!
Now it’s your turn! Tell us about how you show kindness, and don’t forget to compliment the person who comments before you. Let’s spread the love!
@Bobiisha thanks a lot for open a nice discussion. As a local guide if I think first come some people name of this local guide community who help me a lot to develop my self in this platform. @TraciC , Corrie Davidson ,Gus ,Tara, Christina, and many more peoples.
Celebrating world kindness day is superb. It creates awareness about positive values that keep our planet moving in an otherwise cruel world. Good for encouraging those that are undergoing hard times. I love the spirit.
Thanks @MahabubMunna , btw I think it’s awesome that you take part in so many meet-ups. I also enjoyed a lot @GaziSalauddinbd 's post about cleaning the world.
(Estou a corar ). Posso dizer o mesmo para Você - gosto muito de todo que faz para a comunidade Brasileira e o Connect e aproveito ler cada postagem que cria. Estou desfrutando o meu tempo consigo aqui.
You may not know this, but Connect is a community, where Local Guides from all over the world can discuss their personal experience, related to one of our main topics. Some of them are Photography, Travel, Food & Drink. The others are available on this link.
To get familiar with the program itself, I suggest that you check out this article and our program rules as well.
Don’t miss to also introduce yourself in our monthly topic and meet others from the community.
Being kind for me personally means that a person is kind to themselves first and this mindset permeates into all of their relationships and choices throughout their day… Very famous quote says “Love is kind…” Kindness is the ultimate quality of love…
