I have one query can we use insta 360 one x2 for 360degree video and for a street view?

Hi @MadhusudhanA

Yes you can. However, as your camera is not fully compatible with the Street View App, you need to collect the video using Insta360 app, and then import the video in Street View, by using the street View app (no mobile) or Street View Studio (on Desktop). Yes you can using the Free Insta360 Studio PC program to stitch the images from the front and back lenses and export to an .mp4 video file. Then upload .mp4 file to Google using Dean Zwikel’s VID2GSV tools.

The ONE X2 gets GPS for images or videos from the Insta360 Smart Remote, or the Insta 360 app on your smart phone. The Insta remote and the app can also control the camera for shooting.

Workflow:

  1. Shoot 360 video using phone for GPS

  2. transfer files to computer

  3. stitch and export at 180K bitrate or higher with Studio 2022

  4. upload to Google with Dean Zwikel’s tools.

I haven’t started looking over the reviews yet but it will be interesting to see if the X3 they announced this week will differ in any way to the X2 for Street View.
