Hi local guiders
im mursalin_alink on leve 6, very newbie. i review restaurant, food and place, but im kind of wanna review other things. is there other things that i can review like an event or party, that somehow i can put on google maps ?
It is not quite correct that you can review anything on Google Maps.
Some “things” can not be added to Google Maps and hence you can not review them. Please see
https://support.google.com/local-guides/answer/2642650
Also, some “things” on Google Maps do not accept reviews (and photos). Streets, Cities, Rivers, and Lake are examples of this. If you see the rating stars under a pin, you can add a review.
All the best
Morten
Hi @mursalin_alink and thank you for your question.
You can review any Place of Interest that fits into any one of the Google Maps categories and must comply with the policy that your contributions must be based on real experiences and information. Deliberately fake edits, copied or stolen photos, off-topic answers, defamatory language, personal attacks, and unnecessary or incorrect edits are all in violation of [the] policy.
thank u sir. that’s helpfull.
i have one more question, i hope u can give me an answer.
what is the different between google connect and google review ?
what is the function of google connect post ? and who is the audience of that posting ?
Hello @mursalin_alink
Before I answer your further questions I need to let you know about tagging and why it’s important. When you leave a message or reply to someone you need to properly tag them so that they will get a notification of your message in their notification inbox otherwise they may not ever know about or see your message. To do this, first type @ then type the first few characters of their name until you see their name in the dropdown list. Finally, simply select the person’s name. You will see that I tagged you at the start of this message to you, so it shows your Connect Username. Many think that this is done automatically when you reply to someone but it is not. Now to your further questions:

what is the different between google connect and google review ?
I will give you a quick overview and then direct you to some useful detailed help information. Google reviews are specifically tied to Points of Interest on Google Maps and their audience is everyone who uses Maps. Connect is a forum whose audience is Local Guides. It’s a forum where Local Guides, like your and me, “connect with each other” sharing experiences. knowledge, issues, questions, ideas and tips etc, a place where you can get help and a place for learning more about the Local Guides program, and a place where we help each other when we can as I am now doing in trying to help you. It’s also where we and receive information from Googlers on the official Announcements board, where for example, we hear first hand about important news and updates, and announcements regarding the Local Guides program as well as enhancements on Maps. I suggest that this help tutorial would be good for you. Additionally, the following articles will be useful: Your guide to Connect and 14 helpful tips for using Connect.
