As a resident of Pune, my second home and heart lies in Delhi and Bengaluru.
I lived in these cities for 5 years each.
Yet a lot remains to explore.
So I often visit here for local guides meetups ![]()
The upcoming meetup in Bengaluru is my third major meetup in the past 12 months.
I have booked the train tickets for this journey with great help from enthusiastic and super-helpful local guide @Rahul001 ![]()
The meetup location is Chikkalalbag Park.
There are plenty of other top attractions in Bengaluru, which I will explore in the following days.
Here is an AI-generated bucket list of places in Bengaluru, some of which I have already explored while living here for 5 years.
The top attraction is the Vishweshraiya Museum of Science and Technology.
I visited here also during the meetup last year.
The top attraction for me here was the mechanical weighing scale that has become rare in India.
The top location in Bengaluru for group photos or selfies is outside the state assembly building called the Vidhan Soudha.
The view is majestic from across the road and gives a great panoramic background for a memorable and iconic photo from my Bengaluru visit. Parking is not allowed on this bus road.
There are plenty of auto rickshaws plying around so reaching here is not a problem. One can also reach here by walking from the Vishweshraiya Museum or by Metro.
Here’s another memory from the South India meetup last year.
Here’s the group photo from the Bengaluru Meetup from March 2025.
The next popular place in Bengaluru is the Lalbaugh Botanical Garden.
Parks like these and the various avenues give Bengaluru the nickname ‘Garden City of India’.
Looking forward to meeting old and new local guides at the upcoming meetup on 29th March and exploring more from the bucket list of places.
