Today I am going to share about my experience of visiting Book Fair at Kalyani.

Book Fair is like a festival. The fair is specially for those who love to read books and want to live in a world of books. They love to earn knowledge. Different types of readers, different types of books and different publishers can be seen together for this book fair. This book fair is very beneficial for teachers and all students. In this book fair, readers get a chance to choose the books of their favorite authors and favorite publications. You can see many stalls of book in the Book Fair. You can see their every types of books. For the Book Fair the readers get chance to know about the new and unknown books. We can definitely say Book Fair is best festival for all book lovers.

I went at Kalyani Book Fair on 18th December. The book fair was organized in a big ground. There were many stalls of different kinds of books. The book fair will continue for 20 days.

Many publishers went there to sell their books. As I am a student, the book fair is very beneficial for me. Arrangements were made to visit the fair from my coaching center, I went with all the students there on the initiative of that coaching center. It was really nice to see so many book stalls together there. It was difficult to decide which stall to start visiting from first. Anyway, I saw the books of all the stalls one by one. It took us a long time to see all the stalls and select the books. I showed different types of books there. There were many books written by different writers. I saw many books of unknown writers. Science, literature, arts, many types of stories, drama, stories for kids, history, geography, etc. You will find all types of books here. I have shown books on various subjects here and have shown many books on unknown topics.

It was great to see different and unknown books together. I bought total 6 books. I love to read stories so I bought a story book along with the books of my syllabus. Another advantage of this book fair is that you often don’t get the books in the book store which you need but you can get those books in the book fair as there are all kinds of books. It happened to me. I needed a book that was too late to buy in book store because it was sold out and I couldn’t get it. I needed the book very quickly and the store owner said that it would take few months to bring new stock of the book. I luckily got that book in the book fair. I am very happy to buy the book in this fair.

You will also find some food stalls there. Very tasty fast foods were sold there.

A cultural program was organized there. Cultural program is organized in every year at the book fair. A big and beautiful stage was made there. Various instruments were brought. Seating arrangements were made for watching the programme. Many famous singers came there for singing. The cultural program was started in the evening. In the evening the book fair was decorated with lights. The stage was also lit up. As a result, it was very nice to see the program.

The evening was spent very well watching the wonderful program with beautiful colouring lights and the joy of buying favorite books. Visiting the book stalls all day to see and buy different books, then eating delicious food and a nice program in the evening, all the day was spent very happily and enjoyed a lot.

Yes, there are book fairs happening at many places in all major cities… Mostly, the touring book stalls teams fixe the next exhibition place before moving from the first place. These teams will be moving most of the time of the year.

Yes, Tandrima… You are right… During such exhibitions, you get some books which are not frequently available in typical book stalls.

Also, glancing at books which are not even heard of… It is exciting…
