What if anyone is searching for information regarding a place and I can help because I have experience of being there and have photos of that place. Besides I have the exact information about the place, which the seeker requires. Before local guide program, the information seeker and practical experience holder did not have a common platform. Google local guide brought about this opportunity. Our’s is a busy age. We are constantly thundered by busy hustle and bustle of our workaholic life. We want to roam around with our dear ones. We have limited time and want to spend it with quality. Although we have many choices for places we need peer review to understand and know the place before we decide to give it a try. This way we save our valuable time and a quality in time spent is ensured. Being a local guide means to me being honored by helping people to make a difference in their choice. I feel satisfied when I get a mail from local guide program saying your photo is making difference. Being a local guide is my achievement to help the person coming to Dhaka city for the first time in his/her approach of finding exact mobile or phone number of the store I went last week. My friends and fellow city dwellers who want to know if a place is comfortable for people of all ages , if they can bring their children with them ,if it offers and caters to their specific needs. For me being a local guide is thus being a true friend to the person needing to know if the specific pharmacy is open now. It means to be an informer to the person seeking to know if there is wheelchair accessible entrance in the restaurant , so that the injured father who lost one leg in accident can be taken in family outing. Thus being a local guide is being a source of trust and empathy.
