*Beautiful Riverside Views - Challenge Series*

Dear Local Guides Community,

I recently visited Kasol, popularly called “Mini Israel of India” or party world of Himachal. It is full of quaint little cafes with mesmerizing views of snow covered mountains and Parvati river flowing along the Kasol town. It provides us with an opportunity to go on cafe hopping around Kasol and exploring best views of the river, observe the fauna and flora, do small picnics or be creative and explore local artisans and small business and the village life.

During one such visits, I explored Off Limits cafe. Attaching a few photos I captured from the location.

Offlimits Cafe, Kasol

Google Review

This cafe offers good food. It also is LGBTQ+ friendly. It has wheelchair friendly accessibility and pets are welcome too. There is a small bakery in the vicinity. The washroom facility was for both men and women and it was a safe environment overall but pretty breezy and cold after sunset.

Tag your favorite riverside cafés or restaurants that have it all: stunning scenery, great vibes, and a pet-friendly policy. Let the hunt begin!"
Challenge ends on 9th August '2025 midnight IST. Post your photo and a short description of the place with Google Maps link and your Google Review Link.

Kasol looks like heaven on earth - I’ve read about it a lot.
Nice to see the beauty of Kasol through your lens @ShreyaMusings
Fabulous place and photos.

We have plenty of rivers in and around Pune, but none have a cafe or restaurant alongside. This is because land is reserved on both sides of the riverbank by the forest department. I will participate in the challenge when I find one.

Here is an amazing, calm, and peaceful riverside view from Rishikesh.
We went there last year and spent time under the bridge.
This is the River Ganga.
Many people pass under this bridge while doing river rafting.

A must-visit place in Rishikesh.
The river is almost 80 feet deep.
There is white, cool sand on the side and colorful pebbles to collect as well.

𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 - At first, It left me speechless, then turned me into a storyteller.:clinking_glasses:
So much of who we are is where we have been mostly. I have always travelled not to escape life, but for life not to escape me. I agree that not all of my travels have been always pretty & comfortable. Sometimes it left me hurt, it even broke my heart, but that’s okay. It sometimes leaves a mark on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. The journey changes you; it should change you. You take something with you but hopefully, you leave something good behind too.:sparkles::clinking_glasses:
.
Fill your life with experiences, not things. Sometimes we really got to have some stories to tell, not the stuff we usually show to people that portray an image of us. :dizzy:

Place - Alleppey, Backwater river, Kerala, India.

𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮…:sparkles:
The Hindu mythology has it that Kerala was created when Parasurama, an incarnation of Vishnu, threw his battle axe into the sea, to create a new land for his devotees to live peacefully. Also, resulting in this conflicted countryside, neither all water nor all land.
The Kettuvallam, as they are known, were once used to carry rice and passengers around the waterways and are now being adapted as houseboats, many extremely luxurious.

Once you’re on the water, the delirium of Alleppey fades to a dim memory, replaced by a pervasive calm. A cruise along the canals is captivating — so serene, so tranquil that it weaves a kind of meditative spell, like a deep-tissue massage for the soul. :sparkles::clinking_glasses:
