Fourth food truck of this Series is "One Bite Stand’. Interestingly they just have two items on the menu.

A. Dabeli

B. Corn Patties

Here is the link to the webpage of the food truck(in fact it is a trailer!). https://www.onebitestandusa.com

I have tried Dabeli, I have to go back to try Corn Patties some time.

Here is the shot of trailer, operated by two people

They have a deep fryer to prepare corn patties and a skillet to prepare ‘Dabeli’

Dabeli from One Bite Stand, I took a bite to show what is inside!

What is Dabeli?

Main ingredients include, Potatoes, masala, pav (burger bun), Pomegranate, peanuts and sav.

As read in wikipedia

“The name Dabeli comes from the act of pressing. It has its origin in the Gujarati language. So it is essentially a snack where a potato filling is pressed into a paav or a bun. Dabeli is believed to have been invented in the 1960s by Keshavji Gabha Chudasama in Mandvi in Kutch district of Gujarat”

Shot of trailer. Display shows the Menu items. Of course there are only two items on the menu!

Another shot of Dabeli! You can see some peanuts and cut raw onions as well.

@indahnuria Yes it has pomegranate in it. Recetnly my wife made dabeli at home with sliced green grapes, it was awesome too, combination of little of sweet and spicy potatoes makes the dish even more tastier!

Wow Dabeli is so interesting @jayasimha78

I would like have it someday, although I’m not sure whether I could find it in an Indian restaurant in Jakarta.

Does it consider as a main course?

@Velvel It is actually a snack. I have not seen it in many Indian restaurants in US also. Some which carry Indian chaat, may have it.

@Pratik_89 Some of the food trucks are around from last 6-8+ years, In fact one of the trucks became so popular, they have a real restaurant as well. I have not explored all of them as yet. In last 10 years indian restaurant scene has completely changed. You can find all kinds of indian food. They are just getting better.
