Sunday, November 27 2022, in the city of Batu, the Batu Flower Art Carnival was held to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the city of Batu. Actually, the anniversary of Batu City is October 17, but because of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, all activities have been postponed, including this carnival activity.
Batu City is an administrative city. The town is small, consisting of 3 districts and 24 villages. Its territory is 60% forest. The livelihood of the average population is as a farmer. Flower growers and also vegetable growers. As for fruit, there are apples, sweet oranges and crystal guavas that have been cultivated.
As a flower-producing city, at every party there must be an abundance of flowers. This Carnival takes the theme of each village’s potential. The decorative car used must have an element of interest.
This time my village takes the theme of fish and hydroganics (how to plant by combining hydroponic & organic systems). We made it all day until midnight. As soon as it was finished, we immediately took it to the start line to take the number of the parade participants.
The parade starts at 9 a.m. until noon. Beautiful floats and dancers spilled onto the streets. Festive party. There were also several Batu Local Guides members who joined this party. But I didn’t find Mas @br14n and partner. Maybe because of the large number of people.

It is difficult to determine which is the best, all participants have their own uniqueness. Our goal is just to celebrate the anniversary without competing. But there are several creations that are my favorite, such as musical instruments made of red roses, huts made of hydrangea/hortensia flowers, also boats etc., thank you for your positive response @IamJoseFelixAranda
and for sure celebrating is way better than competting. Good catch
