Bánh Bèo - special flavor from a Central of Vietnam

Bánh bèo - a rice cake which is a popular street food in Vietnam.

There are some kind of rice cake, but I really love the one which is original from the Central of Vietnam.

It includes ingredients such as: rice cake, dried shrimps, dried onions, pork mince, spring onion and a special sauce.

This is my breakfast this morning. I really love the feeling that enjoying my breakfast in some Yanny’s piano songs, talking with my moms and planning for some interesting proposal within a day.

What a peaceful atmosphere!

Hello @UyenHuynh

What a great breakfast you have!

I would to have the same one and with those beautiful flowers too :grinning:

I won’t send any pics of Bành Bèo from my country because they don’t look as so good as yours. Probably because in Vietnam you make real ones :ok_hand:

Thanks for sharing and have a great day :sunny:

Sure, Bánh Bèo is originally from Vietnam!

I live in New Caledonia (as you can see here it’s in Pacific South) and we’ve got a large community of Vietnamese.

So we’ve got a sort of Bánh Bèo but it looks like a closed ball of rice with pork mince, spring onion and sauce inside.

If I can, I will take a picture next time to show you.

Yours pictures are showing a really beautiful plate of Bánh Bèo that I’ve never seen.

Thank you

Hi @UyenHuynh ,

Thanks for your sharing eye-catching and mouth-watering photos!

Vietnam is famous for its diverse foods made of rice: bánh bèo (rice cake), bánh canh (rice spaghetti), bánh cuốn (rice cake), bánh xèo (pancake), bánh tét/chưng (glutinous rice cake), bún (noodle), hủ tíu (noodle), phở (noodle), miến (vermicelli), xôi (steam sticky rice) and so on. It’s hard to count endless foods in this country.

All of you @O_Nate @CaterinaOS @sabya @Rizwanullah and @shantanu-kaizen are invited to Vietnam to experience three human senses of sight, smell and taste. Is it right?
