@dracko1 I think perhaps you miss the point of Local Guides. Yes of course enriching the data in Maps has advantages for Google but it also keeps Maps free for us all to use and helps our local communities especially the small businesses and places to visit around us.

I get the point of it, for sure, but I think you are missing my point. If ithwr companies want to update any type of data in their systems they hire someone to do it (or maybe more than one person). This makes it free labor for Google and saves them millions of dollars since is a world wide thing. Dont get me wrong, if I owned Google I would do the same thing, free labor is free labor.

It would also seem, with all Google’s technology, they could figure a way to verify the reviews and give non monetary perks that would really benefit contributors in their quest to share even more content.
