One thing we know for certain is that we love challenges, quizzes, campaigns, etc. TRAC has fast become a household event on Connect and Google Maps. How about another campaign on Road Mappers?!! We realise that the Road Mappers forum isn’t part of the new Connect. Nevertheless, we can reinstate or revive it if we are dedicated and persistent enough.
Now, the announcement: We are planning a TRAC on Road Mappers (TORM)! I hope you are as excited as I am about this.
Starting Date: 1st October 2025
Duration: One Month
Target: 3,000 Challenges
Sign up Form: Here you are.
We started TRAC some 3 years ago, and we also started 3,000 Roads. Therefore, we aim to unite our TRAC Community to complete 3,000 Road Mapper Challenges and make a real-world impact by building a more accurate map for everyone. Let’s prove how far we can go!
This is going to be exciting and interactive. We will use our usual Telegram Group (HERE) for unofficial and quick discussions.
I am planning a Kick-Off Meetup with @JustJake, so keep an eye out for the next announcement! Please fill out the interest FORM and let us know in the comments that you’re ready to go!!
Thanks for sharing this exciting announcement @SholaIB While I’m ready to participate, but I haven’t registered for Road Mappers ever. And from what I have heard from fellow Roam Mappers on connect, it is an invite only platform. Hence, please suggest if I should fill up the form too. Thank you for taking this initiative.
Hey @Ssiddharth2000, this one will be only for those who have access. If you requested to join, maybe Googs will surprise us with some open invitations, but it has been several years since they’ve done that.
Don’t worry, @Laurent, the TRAC isn’t going anywhere. There will be many future events focused on mapping on the live map. This one is just for those who had gained access to the Road Mapper platform. This is an invite-only platform that is only accessible on Desktop/Laptop.
Keep on drawing those roads and finding new places that can be filled in when the next big TRAC event comes along!
Oh no! Road Mapper hasn’t been my favorite Google tool—I prefer route editing in Maps a thousand times over—but… it would be a waste not to join this challenge because of:
