Its hard to measure men’s strength until you see it, or feel it.
So far I’ve stayed in Chiang Mai for 8 months, I always try to go anywhere I can with my motorbike. Doi Khun Tan National Park was my choice after a while of searching. It’s famous for its natural view, railway tunnel, and the top of the main mountain is the junction of Lamphun province and Lampang province.
It took an hour and half to the entrance of the park, before that you need to pass the check point and few steep slopes, perhaps they’re good test for riders to figure out how good your ride is. After paying the ticket, asking the staff where the sightseeing spot is, I rode to the Natural Trail, that’s the main hiking trail in the mountain. Thanks to the introductions in the trail, this eight km trail was built by American missionaries, British military and Thai local people. Missionaries built the first section and second section, British military built the third section, forth section till the top of the mountain for scouting during WWII, and Thai government bought it and developed the trail and maintained it till now. So you might could imagine the strength of those men who built the trail through walking it.
However, you might give up getting to the top due to the trail condition is very “natural” - less repair and lots of insects around the trail. When walking in the trail to the top, there was no one with me, didn’t know when to end, it’s easy to give up and turn back. But if you’re a person who really could enjoy the loneliness, I suggest to challenge yourself. The feeling is unique, you enjoyed the view of the top, just you and you alone.
