♿#AccessibleBengal Kolkata 2.0 : Sealdah Railway Station

Hello everyone,

Sealdah Railway Station is one of the busiest railway station in India.

Railway service has already started in Kolkata after lock down period. By following COVID-19 precautions people have used railway service in widespread.

I am goin to host another meet-up on accessibility on the day of 'The International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ (IDPD).

Place : Sealdah Railway Station

Date : 3rd December,2020

Time : 3P.M.-5P.M. (IST)

We shall visit Sealdah Railway Station and check the following :-

  1. Check availability of handrails and ramps.
  2. Check the accessibility of the parking area.
  3. Check the accessibility of the toilets.
  4. Check the accessibility of the drinking water area.
  5. Check the accessibility of ticket counter
  6. Check the availability of visual indication for vision impaired.
  7. Check the availability of audio announcement in every situation for audio disability.

Need for joining to this meet up :-

Smartphone or Camera to capture and then update the information to Google Maps.

This is a superb choice of a place @KalyanPal since it is a crowded place and there are more chances that differently-abled people will use the railway station and more frequently.

Also, I’d suggest not to be shy and hesitate to link back the Accessibility for All to the page that tells more about it.
