Accessible BJ Block Durga Puja Mela

So before entering the playground where the BJ Block Durga Puja Mela was in the Salt Lake area in Kolkata, I was able to see the giant wheel ride properly; even the view of that ride is more amazing from outside than inside the park.

When I entered the fairground, I was literally amazed by the glamour of the mela. Everywhere there were different colours of lights decorating the entire park. There were shops of street food, clothes, imitation jewellery, toys, juices, etc.

The thing that caught my attention was a woman in a wheelchair enjoying the mela. That gives another level of satisfaction within me. There were also ramps available at this mela that make it fully accessible.

There were so many merry-go-round rides for children, a fun area, a trampoline where children can jump and play, the giant wheel ride I mentioned at the start, a giant boat ride, and lots of other rides for fun.

At another corner of this park I found a ride for children; it was a water and boat ride. I hear the children laughing and yelling; it seems like they were having a good time there enjoying the ride. I also added this mela to Google Maps. So the people living in Kolkata must visit the BJ Block Durga Puja Mela in this Durga Puja.

I am launching an initiative, #AccessibleBharat that is a part of the Bharat initiative, and I am waiting for the amazing posts of you all under this hashtag.
