Google Maps can now follow LocalGuides.
Is this feature implemented in all countries?

Also, if this feature is implemented in some countries, please tell me which countries it is implemented in, which countries it is not implemented in, and whether it is set in the LocalGuides settings (Registration Region).

@KOBAYASHI_Jun As far as I know it is available worldwide, but it is still rolling out for some users.

So, be patient it will be available soon

@KOBAYASHI_Jun Don’t worry

It doesn´t depend on the country, for example some of my followers that do not have the follow button are from: United States,Colombia, Vietnam, Turkey, Australia, Bangladesh, and a lot more. So, country is not the cause.

You can read this Announcement: Enable Following on your Maps profile to help others This was posted on July 30 but it doesn´t specify how many weeks it will take to be available for everyone. So, that information is not public.

If you want to, you can allow people to see your Maps profile here on Connect so they can follow you, just go to your Connect profile and click on Settings, at the bottom enable the “Show Google Maps link” option.

Are you using a Google Workspace (formerly GSuite) for Local Guides @KOBAYASHI_Jun

There can be issues with using a Workspace account

  • If you lose access to the Workspace account because you stop subscribing it will be deleted and at least some of your contributions will vanish
  • Not all features are available to Workspace accounts

I also have a “G workspace” account, but follow-up is fine.
Ask the user in question if the account type is “G workspace”.
