A Peaceful Pond in My Village – My Everyday Escape to Nature

Hi Local Guides,

I’m excited to share this beautiful view from my village in Ganjam district, Odisha – a peaceful pond just a few steps from my house. Surrounded by lush greenery, coconut trees, and traditional homes, this spot is one of the calmest and most refreshing places in our area.

Every day, I pass by this pond and feel deeply connected to nature. The sound of birds, the gentle breeze, and the stillness of the water make it a perfect place to unwind and reflect. It may not be a tourist destination, but for me, it’s a hidden gem full of peace and simplicity.

What makes this pond even more special is its cultural value. During local festivals and religious occasions, villagers gather here for rituals and prayers. It plays an important role in preserving both our traditions and our environment.

This is the essence of rural life in Odisha – natural, serene, and rooted in culture.

Image looks beautiful. If you add maps location of the pond in the photo, it would make the post look more beautiful.

A road runs alongside the pond, and the coconut groves and other trees on the banks of the pond have collectively created a healthy natural environment.

A warm welcome to Local Guides connect @Bhagyashree_123, and thank you for sharing this wonderful place.

Pune, where I live, is gifted with several ponds, rivers, and tiny hills that are a break for people, away from the hustle and noise of a metro city.

Here’s one such park with a pond called the Birds’ Valley.

The stone structure, like a pillar in the foreground, is a lamp-post.
Local guides in Pune visit such lamp posts and lit Diyas there in the evening - it looks amazing.
