Oh I looked @Peadar and yes your theory is one possibility but how likely it is, is another thing!
you have me hooked lined but I ain’t sinking
take your time
relax
@tony_b
Aldi & Lidl are German grocery/supermarket stores all across Europe
they build their stores to a plan the same in every location
So
these are 2 different POI’s
Or wait there’s more
I agree @tony_b, it’s an interesting thought and yet again goes to show how @Peadar seems to always think and look for things outside of the box like, to use @TerryPG’s words "
the reflective lighting in the sky
Yes you are right Anthony I didn’t say how long this poll will stay open but I did mention here in my reply to @StevenBerlin that my plan is to reveal all later next week
While I’ve mentioned that there’s a twist to this, don’t be nervous because if you get it all wrong, as I mentioned in my reply to @Peadar and @KetanChhaniyara here, one of the Photos A or B will appear in a sequel so you can have another shot at this
Waiting anxiously and patiently for Adam’s further reveal .I also have some thoughts and would like to share some examples.
don’t be shy
Yes. Quite often there are few photos on a POI, and very few new ones being added. That makes it easy.
No really deep analysis, but I just took a look at a fast food restaurant where I’m intimately aware of the history. There were only two photos which I didn’t think were nice for that place, so I made many attempts to get the “just right” storefront photo and that immediately became the #1 photo. A few months later I was going there again and just opened Maps for no real reason. I discovered four additional photos by someone with a foreign-sounding name and two by a local businessman. I’ve subsequently added a video which is in position #2, and another photo which is at #9. The place now has 14 contributions uploaded in 5 years. The two original photos are at 6 and 7, the four tourist photos are at 4, 8, 10, and 11, while #14 looks like it reappeared from a previously hidden contribution. This is not a typical tourist place, but in their review they said a local recommended they try the food there before leaving the island. My first carefully planned photo is still #1.
But has AI found you trustworthy so @tony_b
apart from pictures
expand your thoughts
Yes @Peadar, maybe its a trust thing. Apart from pictures, I also find that when I add or edit a place, I get the email that says my edit is under review, then within a few seconds the second email to say that my edit has been accepted.
Level 10 is waiting for you
I’ll think I’m a 8 forever
Yes I’m familiar with Aldi and Lidl @Peadar
I was taken to both on one of my UK trips.
I also look forward to this @StevenBerlin.
Now, regarding replying to specific text in someone’s comment, don’t give up. Just keep trying and take one step at a time.
Thanks @Peadar! Well based on the great discussion in this post, I will put forward my thoughts on some of the important issues raised. Whether it rocks you or not, we’ll see but I do hope that it will be an interesting deeper discussion on these issues.
That’s great! It’s quite a simple technique and as well as making it easier to reply, it makes it easier for readers to follow.
I totally agree with you on this Peadar!
Having been to beautiful Ireland twice, I was aware of this
@tony_b I must have missed where @StevenBerlin made that comment. Notwithstanding, I still believe that such photos are selected by the AI and as soon as I get some time, I will explain why I think this.
Your comments here Anthony reminded me of the discussion on faces and vehicle licence plates in photos in the Does this ever happen to you? post!
Perfect @TerryPG. Save these examples for the forthcoming detailed discussion on the issues raised in this post. While outside the scope of this topic, we will discuss these soon.
I may have said this before @tony_b so forgive me if I am repeating myself. However, because relatively speaking you live in a small place, I believe that this provides you with great opportunity to experiment with media to determine which media works best.
@AdamGT it seems to me, you ignored I said “from our perspective.”, will say while I convinced there is some logic behind, it is difficult, if not impossible for us to understand.
Thanks for picking me up on that @WilfriedB and for clarifying your earlier statement.
When do you plan to close out voting?

Your comments here Anthony reminded me of the discussion on faces and vehicle licence plates in photos in the Does this ever happen to you? post!
Yes, the POI that I mention now is the same one I mentioned in that old thread. I went back there many days until I was finally able to take a photo the way I wanted.

I may have said this before @tony_b so forgive me if I am repeating myself. However, because relatively speaking you live in a small place
I do need to clarify that despite our smallness, 14 photos in 5 years is not the usual norm for POIs here. But the lack of photos for a food place in this instance is what caused me to take up the challenge. I have more than 100,000 views on this photo now, but WHO are those viewers, and WHY are none of those viewers taking and posting more photos?
