Most of these approved roads are located within the beautiful territory of Portugal. Whether it’s a small rural path or a new urban street, knowing that these updates help people navigate to their destinations more accurately brings me a lot of joy.
Beyond my daily professional life, I’ve found a passion for contributing to the accuracy of Google Maps here in Portugal. I’ve been spending my time adding missing roads based on satellite imagery.
And also, I’m trying to contribute to Road Mapping every single day, and I’m currently on a 291-day streak!
Thank you all for being such an inspiring community. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the members of TRAC. Your support motivates me to continue exploring and contributing. Let’s keep making the map better.
Congratulations on your 2000 roads @Roman_Ahmmed. TRAC is indeed an inspiration, but we can all just keep doing this all year round. Your 291-day streak is amazing. Keep it up.
Thank you so much, @tony_b.
Yes, I completely agree. I have been committed to this since August 2025, and I have been trying to contribute every day alongside my work.
Wow @Roman_Ahmmed that’s amazing, there’s no stopping you ! The Portuguese authorities should be giving you a medal! Almost single handedly you’ve changed Google Maps in Portugal for the better. The Portuguese people have a right to know this. I’m along way behind with 230 you but I will try to catch up !
Haha, thank you, @MarkAuchincloss, for your support and encouragement! I’m doing my best to find and add missing roads across Portugal throughout my daily professional activities.
I don’t need a medal ; instead, that Google Maps users are enjoying smoother, more accurate navigation is a great reward for me. You’ve been doing awesome work too! Looking forward to seeing you catch up!
