Hey local guides,
As far as I am concerned this isn’t a particular achievement for me really. Yes I don’t feel it’s something I need to brag about. Very often then not like other social media what’s done is follow me and I follow you. I really don’t believe in that theory. I follow local guides that I know well,maybe in persons or virtually on connect. I’m sharing these just for the fun of 5 5 5 5. Getting followers therefore doesn’t depend on your great contributions more often than not.
I also follow local guides that I am interested in monitoring their progress or activities. To follow them around in their travels and contributions so to say. As you can see I am following 34 local guides I know them all. What’s your theory or take about following?
The next thing I will like to add to this post is,I see some local guides make their profiles private which is very cool. My profile is public though and I don’t intend to close it up or privatise it. That said,I see lots of those who keep their profiles private follow me. I wish we could have a feature that makes it impossible for private profiles to follow public ones !!!
Again what do you think about that? Just to share your ideas and opinions and the fun as well.
@SholaIB that is quite impressive What I can tell is that you have 5555 organic followers that care about your posts and content therefore they truly want to know your whereabouts. I usually follow people I know fairly well or local guides that I am trying to emulate or learn from.
Lieber @SholaIB ich bin voll und ganz deiner Meinung und was nützen mir endlos lange Reihen an Followern, ich habe keine Zeit diese langen Reihen zu durchsuchen.
Wichtig sind auch die die ich kenne. Die hilfreichen Menschen und sollte mal jemand fehlen kann man ihn auch so aufrufen
Having real followers that actually post interesting and informative is much better than someone who doesn’t have any contributions but follows lots of other guides.
You’re right there should be stricter rules if your page is private you cant follow.

How the followers on Google Maps helping you, when you cant interact with them !! Dont you think so we should get an option like Inbox or Message ( like other social platform) so that You can interact & support each other. Specially when you are in a new country or city.
@AbhijeetBhose the aim of that feature is to be able to see the contributions of certain local guides that you’re following. More so you can also monitor their progress.
