I grew up as a non-vegetarian, eating meat and fish all the time. So whenever someone mentioned about vegetarian food I never cared for it much. Not until I visited India and found out even vegetarian dishes can be scrumptiously delicious too. And everywhere I go I try their vegetarian food as much as I try other non-veg food. Indian thali’s are unbeatable. Indeed. Thank you @DeniGu for this superlicious post. I will make sure I try those other vegetarian dishes too if I go to Colombia, Cyprus or even Japan.
@AjitThite , Congratulation on being featured. I couldn’t help drooling looking at that thali. The photo itself is finger licking. Thank you for sharing your experience at Krushnasagar. By reading your review I am guessing it’s a South Indian restaurant. I am a huge fan of Maharaja, Gujarati restaurant. Even by thinking of their food makes my mouth water.
I have never been to Colombia or tried any Colombian food before. But looking at your picture I am thinking of trying it if I go to a Colombian restaurant or maybe try making it at home, @annamariapino . I like eggplants. I like ricotta cheese. I like spinach. How can the dish be not delicious? Congratulations on being featured and thank you for sharing your experience.
Your pie looks more like an art to me than a food, @PennyChristie . Look at that egg in the middle, trying to hide it’s yolk with the almost transparent white layer, sitting on the bed of crispy pie crust. I bet it was tasty. I have tried a lot of Greek food before. But never tried this. Next time I go to a Greek restaurant I will see if they have this in their menu and will surely try it. Congratulations on being featured and thank you for sharing your experience.
I agree with you @yamamo_cchi , the best way to get the true flavor of vegetables is to consume it without any seasoning of dressing. That little bowl of vegetables look really lovely. Even though I am not vegetarian, but I love vegetables, especially when they are not cooked through. I love the crunchiness in the vegetables. Thank you for sharing your experience and congratulations on being featured.
@AjitThite Wow that platter looks so tasty. Chickpeas soup sounds so tasty!
@PennyChristie The egg topping makes the zucchini and spinach pie look extra savory.
@yamamo_cchi Those steamed vegetables look extra fresh and just learned what seiro-mushi means. So cool.
These dishes make me feel inspired to eat more vegetarian dishes. I made two simple dishes of my own to join in this celebration.
In the first photo of the collage- instead of doing my usual lunch sandwiches, I topped a slice of bread with cream and fruits. This was more healthy as it was an easy way to incorporate fruits into a meal.
In the second photo of the collage, I made a dessert of Mexican-style fruit. I combined in a bowl diced watermelon and cucumbers (sliced and peels); I then topped this with lime juice and tajin (salt seasoning). The tajin makes the sweet flavors pop more.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful information about World Vegetarian Awareness Month! It’s fantastic to see how this month encourages us to explore the diverse and delicious world of vegetarian cuisine while also making a positive impact on the environment. The idea of celebrating with global dishes recommended by Local Guides on Google Maps is brilliant, as it allows us to experience different cultures through food.
