Dear Fellow Local Guides,
Itâs 10th anniversary of Local Guides Connect, Hurray !!! I want to celebrate with you all as well. How are you celebrating this? Have you participated in any of these initiatives to celebrate?
I have been on connect for 6 out of those 
years. Itâs been fun and I have enjoyed interacting, moderating and being on the forum. There has been lots of initiatives to celebrate this 10th anniversary of Local Guides Connect recently.

Now we have one more way of celebrating here. I hope we can all celebrate together as usual.
đThis is 10th Anniversary Connect Contributions Campaign (CCC). What that means is celebrating this 10th anniversary with 10 Contributions on Google maps in this month of July especially.
There are many points of contributions on Google maps. We can either choose one category and contribute 10, Choose some of the Categories or choose all of the Categories and contribute 10. Seeing I am organising this, I am choosing all of the Categories and contributing 10 in all. Itâs time to boost our contributions and improve Google maps to celebrate connect.
N.B :
Photos: Please keep in mind, that, We want to encourage quality contributions. Like clear meaningful helpful photos. No selfies and family or group photos no blurry stolen or AI generated photos etc. Have fun, visit the place and take some shots yourself to contribute to Google maps.
Reviews: Please make sure to write original reviews. Two or three words reviews donât help. Keep the guidelines in mind and help map users make informed decisions through your reviews. Add accessibility 
information as well and other helpful information. No abusive words, state your facts and make your voice heard through your writing.
Videos: Current lively videos of a POI can be very interesting and helpful to map users. Iâll say 10-12sec of video is preferable.
Edits: Like making sure the Opening time and other schedules of a POI is correct is great. Sometimes I have done Edits to correct the name of a POI. Proper location/pin of a POI is very important too. Make sure youâre double sure about the POI before editing.
Place added: This will be a nice walk to explore your locality or other locality that you havenât ever visited. I always enjoy this. Add places that are not on the Google maps that needs to be on it. There are places like Hospitals pharmacy etc that are quite difficult to get approvals avoid those.
Roads Added: My favorite and the best Lol. It might be abit technical but addictive once you start getting approvals. The system is quite unstable, approvals are up and down. See Index Page For TRAC-All You Need To Know
Q and A: The easiest of all. I believe you can get doing a 
if youâre quite active and travelling.

This is geared at motivating everyone of us to contribute more this month. This is a chance to level up if youâve been at a particular level for a very long time. This is also a time to unlock lots of badges that hasnât been unlocked on your profile before now. Moreso it is a time to interact here on connect. We want to roll out the drums and really connect to celebrate this time together.

Everyone who participates is also free to write an achievement post to brag about their 10th Connect contributions Campaign this 10th anniversary. This isnât compulsory, it is just an option. A comment sharing a link to your contributions is ok and fine. Just to interact with the community here.
