What is the best garden you have ever been to?

Bay Area visitors seldom make the short trip over to Oakland. They miss entertainment options at small venues as well as TWO converted movie palaces, galleries and museums and the city's central Lake Merritt.

Within Lakeside Park you'll find the Gardens at Lake Merritt, a seven acre eclectic collection of horticulturally, ecologically and culturally themed areas. 

The Gardens are home to the Pollinator Posse-- whose efforts established a monarch butterfly overwintering sure-- and the Autumn Lights Festival.

It's a true gem

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is breathtaking. We visit them when in Arkansas. The whole state is beautiful!Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

SF has a few-- and I hope this isn't trifling or nniitpicky.

Oakland CA is quite near SF-- but is it's own city-- more working class, more diverse, less nouveau-riche.

I agree with @cindy

for me, the best garden I have ever been to is Keukenhof (Netherlands).

It is open only two months per year, when tulips flower, that is now.
At every step the panorama change, all flowers are very tidy.
There are hundreds of different types of tulip, but not only.

I staied five hours without never be tired of seeing all this flowers.
