Spammer increased on Maps

It is hight time Google changed their algorithm for Google Maps. Google filter can't identify edit which is spam which is not.

It is one of the most popular and biggest market in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Some one marks this place as close and then google marked this as close. this happened more than two times witin four or five months. In this way loyal mapper being discourse and getting not applied after re adding the edits. Spamming is increasing day by day. Now Google should take proper steps to stop spamming in Maps. Local mapper like RERs (Regional Expert Reviewer) and RL (Regionla Lead) could prevent this if google select some local mapper as helful RER or RL from each country like previous map maker system or google can think more helpful and effective things. For example Close edit for permanent place Like, Residence, Country name, capital name and permanent place that would exist in future.

Hi @Arif-BDLG,

At this time it appears the location is properly rendering as Closed and opening again at 9am in your timezone. We appreciate your suggestions and as you probably are aware, RERs and Regional Leads are designations with some administrative ability that Google once had. These were removed for various reasons and this includes various forms of Google Maps abuse that can be read about publicly.  With great power comes great responsibility and a system like the one you are describing may not come back although I would never say never.

The team is always working on new spam fighting algorithms and items like the issue you have shared are not unknown. Please continue to share your feedback as comments like yours and those from other Local Guides are instrumental in improving Google Maps.
