How to add an important road of my locality to google map ?

@nijinp welcome to LG.
LG cannot add roads directly as Google source their map base from government bodies rather than the old principle of using map maker. You can however send feedback from within the Maps App about missing features and they will be investigated and added by Googlers.

Hi @PaulPavlinovich,
Is there a policy change regarding adding of roads recently? Is the scope specific to certain region or global?

No road options for missing features feedback

@YK1001 part of the death of map maker - so I imagine there must have been an adjustment of some kind globally given the tool is going away with no sign of this functionality being replaced.

Hi @PaulPavlinovich,
Although it is not there yet, but in the Mapmaker Graduation Announcement, Road editing is specially mentions that will be added to Maps.
Actually, the Send Feedback features in Maps for Roads are being expanded.
So far the discussions in Mapmaker Forum do not suggest Road editing will be restricted by region - thus once Maps gain that feature, we can map Roads globally.

We can hope @YK1001!
I've had good success in getting roads added and updated via the normal Send Feedback mechanism. The Googlers do seem to listen.
