Edits being consistently not applied in Rochester area

Hello,

I was curious to expand my learning with the local guides program.  I recently had an issue where I have noticed that all my edits keep showing up as "not applied".  For instance the most recent one in my area was for a Famous Footwear store.  The map as it is currently has it placed in the middle of a parking lot versus inside the mall.  It is also placed completely on the wrong side of the mall altogether.   I tried to do the suggest edit and move the marker to the correct spot, but each time I try it always ends up not applied.  Any ideas on why this is?  I seem to have this trouble whenever I try to update the location of businesses on the map when they're off, especially for the malls.

I've enclosed a screenshot of the famous footwear business I am referring to.  Follow the arrow to the blue-ish colored box for the correct placement.  Again, like I said I'm not sure why they are rejected each time if anyone has any knowledge of why I'd appreciate learning more about why this might be 🙂

As you can see all my edits are being rejected consistently for quite some time now.As you can see all my edits are being rejected consistently for quite some time now.

You'll notice the panera ones above.  I reached out on the maps error community about this issue and someone from there ultimately ended up getting it corrected as it had been that way over a year.  For the entire year i've been trying to get it to move to their new location but it was always rejected despite all my best efforts.  That's just one example of how this has been lately.  As I said I'm not "mad", just concerned as to why this is.   Thanks again!

Re: Edits being consistently not applied in Rochester area

@idrive66 not applied means someone already edited that particular place and his/her edit is under process that's why you can't edit again

According to GusMoreira

The world is a big and dynamic place — as it evolves, our goal is to keep the information on Google Maps as fresh and accurate as possible.

In order to do that, Local Guides submit edits to ensure their communities are accurately represented. Sometimes, an edit you have submitted may appear as Pending or Not Applied.

Many of you have asked why your edit is shown that way, so we wanted to share more information with you how edits are reviewed and why they may appear as such.

Every edit submitted to Google Maps passes through automated systems that analyze different factors, such as the information submitted, the location of the edit, your mapping activity, and other factors to make sure everything we are adding to the map is accurate and follows our guidelines.

If we are not sure the edit is accurate, it may be listed as Denied. If your edit status is listed as Pending, it means we need to take a closer look at the information, which can take some time to verify through our staff and other Local Guides through "Check the Facts".

Don’t take it personally.

If your edit is denied, this doesn’t mean you are a bad mapper (unless you are trying to spam the map!) — we may not be familiar with the region you are mapping and need more information to be confident the edit is accurate. Simply collect more information and suggest another edit.

Thank you for helping to keep Google Maps fresh and accurate for the millions of people who rely on your information when they’re exploring the world.

@idrive66- I can understand the situation when we receive Not applied.

Every edit submitted to Google Maps passes through automated systems that analyze different factors, such as the information submitted, the location of the edit, your mapping activity, and other factors to make sure everything we are adding to the map is accurate.

If Google is not sure the edit is accurate, it may be listed as Denied. If your edit status is listed as Pending, it means Google need to take a closer look at the information, which can take some time to verify through gooGoo staff and other Local Guides through "Check the Facts". There is no special person who approve our edits most of them are local guides like you.

Please take a closer look into this post
