Secret adventures - UK

Calling all British adventurers, ramblers, hikers, photographers and explorers

Outside of Google Local Guiding I like to explore the extremely unknown places that even the locals don't know about in each area and I was wondering whether anybody else is interested in the same sort of thing.

I wanted to start a thread that we could use to share the hidden, secret and wonderful world parts of the UK to help one another explore further and see more!

I've got my own adventure map that I've linked below where I share all of mine and would love to see whether anybody else is documenting theirs similarly!

Re: Secret adventures - UK

Hi @Dayne_Stone

Great idea. I can suggest a Local Guide buddy who might be interested from UK.

Hey @TimBull, check this out.

Dayne,

Welcome to Local Guides Connect and I am very happy to meet you.

As this seems to be one of your first post in here, May I take this opportunity to give you some information about Local Guides Community Forum Connect:

    • Need Help?: The Help area give you a lot of solutions if you need to "know how to ...."
    • Explore the Forum menu, to see what the various sections are about. You will find many interesting parts regarding, for example, meet-up, or photographic technique.
    • Give to the post a descriptive title

As an extra tips, i would suggest you to Search the community before posting as the same subject can be already being discussed.

Happy guiding

Badruddeen

Re: Secret adventures - UK

I'm based in Wales so I'm lucky to be surrounded by world war defensive battlements, forts and trenches contrasted with medieval castles and ancient fortifications. I've taken a few trips around Scotland to look at similar historical sites which are less documented than most, but could always use more!!

Did you have a look at my map that I attached above? I'm looking to network with others who're interested in the same sort of thing 🙂
