[Recap] Local Guides National Summit - Nepal 2017

Discussions and planning took over two months. Would like to recall how it all began in here. @Sarojdhakal proposed a National meet and @PushpendraKhadka, @TejR and @BadriR joined in the team. We discussed with the entire LG team and they were excited to meet.

@SovitaD , @NirajBhusal, @LaxmiG, @PushpendraKhadka, Deepak Koirala, Bibek Neupane worked really hard during planning phase.

And finally the exciting day : June 3 was there.

Our bus started 7:30 am from Chabahil, Old Baneshwor, New Baneshwor, Koteshwor, Thimi, Bhaktapur and then to Nagarkot.

Our first stop was Budhha Peace Garden:

 

We enjoyed the greenery and the clean air.

Final point was hotel Peaceful Mountain cafe du Mont. We had some cookies and a cup of tea. Formed four teams:

• Laligurans
• Sagarmatha
• Team Buddha
• Danfe 

Laligurans started their field operations north of the Peaceful Cottage.

Sagarmatha started their field operations east of the Peaceful Cottage.

Danfe started field operations in the vicinity of Peaceful Cottage.

And Team Budhha started field operations south of the Peaceful Cottage.

We mapped up almost all the businesses of Nagarkot which are yet to appear on the map. Then it was a lunch time in the local restaurant.

Assembled back in the meeting venue and had amazing discussions. Major points discussed there were: 

• Local Guides program and how each members started with the program
• Summit and it's recurrence every year
• How Local Guides program can help millions and our Country
• SV Meetups 
• Local Guides Summit 2017 : SFO 

 

Had a group picture and departed.

Final adventure was to get to the top of the Nagarkot view tower.
