Hampi, an ancient village in the state of Karnataka is known for its beautiful temples, ruins of palaces, remains of aquatic structures, ancient market streets, royal pavilions, bastions, royal platforms, treasury buildings and much more. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this place is charismatic even in its ruined state. The unearthly landscape, undulating terrain, palm groves, banana plantations, paddy fields and vast stretches of boulder-strewn hills make the backdrop of Hampi really unique and a travel photographer’s dream destination and paradise.
