Local guide connect is doing really well from the beginning, it constantly listens to the user's feedback and makes the real improvement. UI change is one among them. The world is moving to Virtual assistant these days which makes all the difference. So I would like to share the idea of adding a virtual assistant in the Local guide connect.
My own representation of how a virtual assistant looks in connect website.
Why a virtual assistant?
- Most of the "how-to" threads will be recent problems or bugs with the Gmap, so before the user raises the complaints it can ask the bot about the issue if the bot couldn't find any thread raised before you can raise it. This way it improves the quality content inside the local guide connect.
- If the user is inactive and searching the content for a long time, it suggests the content to the user or automatically addresses the user.
- User can ask how much contributions he has done as a local guide to the bot, so it will check the records and tell the user how much points he earned so far, so here the user doesn't need to navigate from connect platform to google map to check the contribution.
- Also, there are lots of people who speak different languages in Connect, so the chatbot can personalize with the regional language, which helps less confusing to non-English speaking people to search and find tasks.
- Google moderators are doing a great job in moderating the content, so you can name & add a comic picture to the chatbot as connect moderators in the particular region as a tribute to their service.
- Also, it can be used for improved response rate for some post if anybody tagged you, the virtual assistant will notify that and you can reply in the chatbox and it will automatically reflect in the post reply section.
I hope you liked my suggestion if you wanna see this virtual assistant in connect please vote for this Idea.
