Mini connect live events in major world city's - Status changed to: Voting open

It would be great to meet at Country level or at Geo level at least once a year, there are endless possibilities to collaboration. 

When guides work together as teams the force multiples many times as compared to guides contributing in silos. 

• It's not possible for Google to bring a lot of guides together for US meet ups, hence this would help build that excitement at a local level and bring more number of guides together.

Team from Google should plan a meet up or events in select major cities in the country and should invite local guides for these events.  This will make popular guiding and encourage new as well as existing guides to contribute . As we know many across the globe had apllied for connect live but couldn't made it, these events will be helpful  for those worthy guides. The connect event like  one organised by Google in Tokyo should be replicated to other locations  too.

Yes it is a good idea.It mini event great for those who have not selected or who selected in October's live connect event held at sunfrancisco.

One of reasons, why any body helps other is to get validated/recognised by the family/friends/society .

I suggest Google's team create a recognition event for those who achieve level 10 in the city the guide lives.

Hi @thatindianabroad. The team is unable to host events in every country for a number of reasons, but aim to bring Local Guides together at Connect Live or one of our smaller Connect Live regional events.

1. A get together of all the local guides in one country should be arranged annually to meet and learn from other fellow guides. I live in UK and our ideal city could be London, Manchester or any other big city where we can meet and discuss how to improve and organise regionally.
