Add Wikipedia page for Augmented reality to Google map

It would be helpful to have a Wikipedia page on Google maps for a location. Wikipedia will link to Google maps information and it would be helpful to for example for the empire State building to include a link to the Wikipedia article for the empire State building. This would also encourage contribute to the Wikipedia article.

Hi @PeterCBurbery

Thanks for sharing your idea. For most smaller businesses the Google Maps page works pretty much as a simple web page where they freely can share and edit the information, post updates and showcase their products and services. Even users can post updates to places, ask and answer questions and post reviews, post photos, and edit the basic data.

For the few iconic places I believe they already will have websites.

Would you kindly elaborate what extra purposes a wikipage could fulfill on top of what is already possible?

Cheers

Morten

I was thinking the Wikipedia page would not be for businesses but landmarks such as government buildings, universities, museums. @MortenCopenhagen
