can I create a new catagory for adding a missing place

when we adding a new place, then we need fill up a catagory.  like (shop, general shop, school, mosque, tea shop etc.) But sometimes this name are not appropriate for some new place.  for that reason we need new catagory.  But how it possible.

It is not possible to add categories.

Choose the one that is the best fit from those in the list.

Please also note that if there is not an appropriate category, it might be that:

• the place is not appropriate on the map.
• the category is not open for editing.

You might want to post the place and ask if it can currently be mapped.
