Hi @HelloSamsonR,

as I can remember, developers who rely on data from Google maps api should mention the source of data which is visible on the first website (Google), and he mention your name as credit so it's ok as fair use.

 

don't forget that you agreed that your contributions are public and accessible via APIs & service of Google. In some cases they use them without credit and that its copyright infringement so you should report them. Google allow Photographers to put their watermarks in condition to not exceed 20% of the photo especially for photospheres.

@khammami I think I understand better now. so in essence it means other websites can upload our contributions on their website and reference would be made to the contributor via google maps?. Is that the case @khammami

not upload they must not store it just use via the api or temporary storage:

@HelloSamsonR this website is using data provided by Google for example the photo of @Anonymous is served from Google servers and not from website servers (open image in new tab).

@Anonymous Okay very good, checked it out now also I saw on that websites. @Anonymous Thanks for providing useful informations on that, I think I understand how it works now. At first I dont understand all. I was just tensed when I saw my contributions on that site. I know myself to be a local guide not around guides 😄
