SolutionWell done, Samsung! Firmware update R210GLU0ARB2 adds the ability to connect to the Street View app. This option is in the connect menu: hold down the bluetooth / menu button until the first option appears then keep pressing until you reach Street View, then press the shutter button to select. The camera will display a code. Go to the Street View app and connect to a remote camera. At first it will fail. Then select "Connect to camera's WiFi" and find your Gear 360. When prompted for a passcode use the code shown in front of the camera. That's it! Street View away!

Thanks for sharing your question @flodymx. I just moved your post here on the "Photography" board as it is the best place where you can share all your knowledge, ask other Local Guides for advice or learn and share your tips to get the best picture :).
Many thanks.

Hello, @praveesh
Sorry for the delay! I can see in the other thread, posted in the Street View trusted photographers board, that your question got a (correct) response (ie, take a closer look when you edit the metadata).
Regarding your original post here, yes: the 2017 Samsung Gear doesn't work automatically with the Street View app. The 2016 version does 🙂
