• Meghalaya is also known as the Scotland of the East, and the perfect way to experience this is to visit the Laitlum Canyons. About an hour's drive from Shillong, Laitlum is a quaint area with lush green surroundings, rolling hills and the breathtaking gorges. Laitlum means "end of hills" and true to its name, the beautiful hilltop opens up to deep canyons and winding roads to the valley below. Peaceful and serene, you can easily spend 3 to 4 hours here. I would highly recommend to go this place.
• Tip-this palace is beside the shehra-sohra SH-5 highway.
