Over on the Meetup board there is a
post calling for people to register to lead a walk in their city and prepare for The 36 Walk. Last year we had a great number of walks and a great turn out for this wonderful world wide event that showcases the power of Local Guides and exactly what you can do for your local area. The idea behind The 36 Walk is simple, today it is so easy to take photos that everyone from the beginner through the most seasoned professional snaps away thousands of images with less and less care. By constraining ourselves to just 36 shots for the walk you will learn the art of waiting, the art of detecting the moment, the art of differentiation between average and awesome. This will improve all of your photography especially if you do it regularly and in turn will lead to more amazing images on Maps. Imagine the day when you look at an image and realise that not only is it amazing, that you made it. It's you in pixels.
