I'm a Google Local Guide in São Paulo, Brazil, and a heavy user of Google Maps. I use it on a daily basis to get the best direction when driving or commuting, to share my location with my friends and relatives, or to simple choose a good place to eat.
I always check the pictures and reviews of a place to decide which place to go, and I realized that some places didn’t have proper pictures that show the ambience or the outside appearance (to quickly recognize its location when you are looking for it).
As a photographer enthusiast, I started contributing high quality pictures and also spherical pictures on Google Street of places for about a year.
Recently, I started to record short videos using drones and cameras with stabilization to make good videos with “professional” looking to be uploaded on Google Maps.
In my opinion, quality matters. I don’t mind quantity.
I’m very proud to be a Google Local Guide and quite excited to see that my pictures, with more than 20 million views by now, is helping other people.
