The Victory Column is a famous monument in Berlin, Germany. It was built in 1864 to celebrate the victory of Prussia in the Prussian war
When the unveiling ceremony was held on September 2nd 1873,Prussia was in the Prussian and Austrian was (1866) and Austria and France were defeated in the France-Prussian war (1870-1871) giving the statue a new meaning
The commemorative column decorated with golden ornaments. in the drum shaped building formed by the colonnde at the bottom, the surrounding walls are painted with western story murals. At the top is the statue of goddess of Victory

Woow, gracias por compartir esto @vijaih me ha servido mucho tu publicación 😅 ya que hace algunos años tuve la fortuna de estar en Berlin y por la ubicación estaba casi seguro de haber pasado por ahí.
Me puse a buscar en mis fotos y me encontré esta foto
Pero la verdad la tomé solo porque se me hizo bonito el monumento pero nunca busqué información acerca de esta. Ahora con tu publicación, despues de cuatro años me doy cuenta que si tiene una gran importancia 🤣.

Not so fun fact: The Victory Column was first situated in front of the Reichstag but moved to its current location by Hitler's orders because he thought it would look better there. Also he considered the column too small so he had one more barrel added which has no meaning.
